[0:13] Embracing individual magic and talents, staying true to self.
Music, Aloha and welcome to Your Heart magic, an illuminating space where psychology, spirituality and heart wisdom. Meet. Here's your host, Dr bethanne kapansky Wright, the clinical psychologist with a mystic mind.
Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart magic. This is Dr bethanne kapansky Wright, and we are doing an August mini series for the month of August called Small pearls, where I am sharing a selected reading from my upcoming book, small pearls, big wisdom, 365 reflections on the heart of being human, and then sharing a few brief reflections on what that small wisdom, that small pearl, is about.
So for today, I chose a passage called your magic is your own. And this was inspired by the choice to read this one was inspired by the message from the Akashic records for the month of August, which was about finding magic in the chaos.
And if you go back to the first message at the beginning of August, the August energy Akashic update, there was all this beautiful wisdom that came through from the Akashic for this month, that even though there's a lot of change and turbulence going on in the collective energy, there's also an opportunity this month to really step into our hearts and to stay in our lanes and to stay in our magic.
And they actually talked about this month being a amazing time to grow our intuition, to work with our heart wisdom, to connect with our spiritual connection and to work our magic. And when I asked the Akashic records, well, what do you mean by magic? They said, well, whatever magic means to you.
[2:10] Embrace your unique magic and evolve your concept of what that means.
I think each of us might have a slightly different interpretation of what the numinous is and what our magic means to us, but most of us have some concept around that, and it's always 100% okay to keep playing with your concept and understanding of what something is and allowing it to evolve and expand, and to keep reinventing your relationship with what your magic is and what that means for you.
So with that, this passage is called, your magic is your own. I'm going to read it and then share a few reflections on it. Your magic is your own. Did you know you have magic in you, the ability to create, transform, alchemize, sense and perceive?
Maybe you know how to walk into a room and change the energy through kindness. Maybe you sing for the joy of the music, and with each appreciation and love of the lyrics become like the songbird, and you sing the world a brighter tune. Maybe you dream and color and hold space for rainbows of diversity, the scales of justice and the ability to envision a better world.
Maybe you soar through the stars in your mind, speak with the numinous and know ancient things. Maybe you sense the intelligent patterns being woven out as the moon and planets orb the wheel and weave together portals for change. Maybe you sit in holiness within your inner temple and anchor space for peace.
Maybe your empathy and sensitivity create the diamond light of fierce gentleness. Maybe you're working through grief and pain in each step of brave courage creates a rite of passage through the Shadowlands to bring more healing, wholeness and truth to the world.
And maybe you're just working on being yourself and the best way you know how as much as you can, as often as you can, and in so doing, you're writing a story of authentic expression and willingness to be real. It is enough. It is all enough. Our magic is enough.
There is no better than or worse than there is just all of us coming together as a whole to express the facet of the divinity that is inside of us. So just keep doing you and know your magic is your own, and it is more than enough.
[4:38] Interconnectedness, self-assuredness, and unique contributions.
What I love about that wisdom reflection is that it really brings it back to, what are your gifts? What are your talents? As the Akashic Record said, What does magic mean to you, and what do you see as your magic? Maybe you take some time and write that down this week and connect with this idea of what your magic. Magic and be expansive.
Think about what unique essence and colors do you bring to the world? What perspective might you have where you see something a little bit differently, or appreciate something or have a way about you that is unique to your expression of self? How do you understand spirituality?
How do you understand the transpersonal HOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND heart energy? How do you understand creativity? What are your viewpoints and perspectives on that, and what experiences have you had that's informed that that, I think, is what it means to stay in our magic, to really come back to that place of self assuredness that each of us has a beautiful, unique contribution to make, and we do it in our own way.
And there's not a better than or a less than, or this is more valuable, and this isn't. It's all part of this greater whole. And I love the metaphor of nature when we are thinking about that, because it's so silly in nature, like a deer is not hanging out saying to the river, like, I am more than you. You know my essence or element is somehow better than this, and a mountains not like, well, I'm bigger than both of you. So you know neither of you matter.
You're less than I mean, that seems so silly, right? If you actually like personified nature, and I guess, like a Disney movie or something like that. But you know, in reality, like nature's not sitting around comparing it works in this ecosystem of wholeness.
And I think that's a beautiful metaphor to understand our relationship with the world around us, and to understand it is something that is really about interconnection and harmony and not worrying about what somebody else is doing. Others are a beautiful mirror to help inspire us.
[6:55] Focus on unique contributions, not comparisons.
We learn from each other, we make mistakes with each other, and so we can find a lot of growth there. But when it comes to the comparison wound and comparing ourselves to somebody, or feeling that we're not as much as as good as whatever it is, that's just false, right there.
It is a lie that we tell ourselves, and it is one of those things that the more we focus on that, the more we are going to keep coming up short. We can always find people who seem like they're shining brighter in life than we are doing better. Have more if we are looking for reasons to say I am less than we're going to find them.
Because there's just so many people in the world and they're doing these incredible things. And so we have to keep learning how to shift away from that way of thinking and instead come into perhaps appreciating and feeling inspired by amazing things that other humans are doing, but to really bring it back to what am I offering, and how is that unique, and how is my contribution something that only I can make, and the way that I have to make it.
So for this month, we are all about staying in our magic and remembering your magic as your own, and it is more than enough. Thank you so much for joining me today for small pearls, the August mini series that we're doing.
I will absolutely be sharing more about my upcoming book as it gets closer to being released, but for now, I am so grateful to be here and to be able to share some selected readings for you and offer these little, small wisdom vibes for the month of August. Have an amazing week. I will be back next week with another your heart magic episode, and we will continue our series. In the meantime, be well, be love, be you and be magic.
