Your Heart Magic

Finding Clarity In The Middle Of December

Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wright Episode 149

The simplest moments can change your direction. We begin with a joy practice—fur-baby cuddles, playful journaling, and creative micro-steps—that gently trains attention and makes room for what matters. From that grounded place, we open an Akashic Records message for mid-December and explore what it means to “come around the bend” into a wider view: sudden clarity, fewer distractions, and the confidence to take the next right step without forcing a six-month plan.

I share real-time creative progress on an Oracle deck and how a 15–20 minute commitment can turn a vague intention into a finished page, a clarified decision, or a calmer nervous system. We unpack a simple two-part journal prompt—What do I most want to accomplish right now? What do I need to do to accomplish that?—and show how to use it for relationships, spirituality, and work. Along the way, the Nine of Earth (reversed) from The Good Tarot offers an inner invitation: strengthen self-reliance, honor your resources, and place the final stone in your foundation through steady, kind discipline.

If you’re feeling stuck at a crossroads, this conversation offers practical spiritual tools, heart-centered psychology, and creative rituals that return you to yourself. Follow the lit path, protect new space as distractions fade, and let small actions build real momentum. If this resonates, subscribe, share with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review to help more seekers find the show. What’s your next right step?

Tune in next week for a new episode to support and empower your light.

SPEAKER_00:

Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright. And today, before I dive into the Akashic Records update for the week, I thought I would share a little bit of joy with everybody. I am working on joy and presence this month. I think that's probably something I'm always working on and then getting distracted from and coming back to. But I'm trying to be more intentional about it. So I thought I would start opening these episodes with sharing a few things from my joy list in the hopes that it makes you smile and brings a personal touch to the podcast and also inspires you to think about what brings you joy. So I have three things to share today. The first one is fur baby love. And even right now, as I'm saying these words, I've got two dogs and a cat all curled up around me. And there's been these moments this week where life is so busy during the day, but then you get to this moment of calm in the evening or on my weekend time. And the animals have a way of gravitating towards their humans and curling up in a way that lately has just been making me take a pause and recognize how sacred and precious life is, and trying to remember these moments. This is it, right? These moments of beauty and happiness, and these moments of just being present. This moment right here, life is happening, and I'm glad I'm here for it. Something else on my joylist that I want to share is that I have been slowly working my way through an Oracle deck. And I promised myself I would have a rough draft done by the end of the year. And rough draft being just the cards, the artwork with the message on the card, I still need to write the booklet that goes with it. But I looked today, and out of the 56 cards that I have going, I only have four left that need the written message on it. So I was so excited. I woke up this morning and realized I hadn't worked on it in a while. And I thought, you know what? I'm going to take my own advice, which I often share with others, and that is to just take one small step. If all you have is 15 minutes, 20 minutes to invest in something that is a hope and a dream of yours, something that you care about, a dream in your heart, your creativity practice, whatever it is, then just do that. So I did. I pulled out my computer and it's a digital deck, and I pulled them up on Canva, and I took about 20 minutes and wrote a little blurb for one of the cards and did the artwork on another. So I'm really excited. I cannot wait to share more about that. I'm sure it will keep making my joylist, and you'll hear more about the progress as things go on. And then the last thing I wanted to share from my joylist today is I got really inspired this weekend. I stumbled across something where it was talking about junk journaling. And that's the practice of scraps of paper and kind of tangibly scrapbooking your life with pens and art and using scraps to take everyday junk, everyday receipts and ticket stubs, and other things that might remind you of moments in life and to glue them and collage them into a scrapbook. So I love the idea of this, but I felt it was probably a little bit unrealistic for me to follow through regularly. But that kind of led me down this rabbit trail of looking at more in-depth journaling practices. So I came up with my own more in-depth journaling, journaling next level right now, where I have been doing more bullet list and stickers and coloring in my journal and making it a little bit more of a combination: doodle journal, art journal, bullet journal, sticker journal. So it's like my junk to jewel journal right now. And just in making these little lists about things that made me happy today, things I felt today, things that happened today, things I'm grateful for, feelings that I've had today, thoughts that I've had. It could be anything. I'm trying to be very open-ended and fluid and just give myself space to play and experiment. But that is where this joy practice really started coming from. As I have found every day I am writing down what brought me joy today. So I hope something in here inspired joy in you. And now for this week's Akashic message. The Akashic Record said that the middle part of December is a time where we are likely to have newfound vision and newfound clarity. I opened the records and the image that came up was seeing somebody driving in a car on a windy road coming around the bend. And as they come around the bend, space opens and they see what's in front of them. They see the direction they've been headed. And I was intrigued by that image because that was also the overall image for the fourth quarter of 2025. I channeled that way back in August or September, right around the equinox, whenever I put out my quarterly newsletter where I will do a quarter time from the Akashic Records. And so that was the Akashic magic message for this last quarter. And I've been waiting the entire quarter to have a sense of, well, when is that space opening? And it feels like this is the time. I had such a strong sense that newfound clarity and vision is coming through, and that things that haven't been making sense or things that have felt more clouded or confused are opening up. And so, with that, it feels like there might be a feeling of newfound confidence, being able to know what your next steps are and intuitively take a step. There are big gains to be made right now with just working with the energy and leaning into the current in your life. So I didn't feel like this was energy where all of a sudden we need to make a vision board for like the next six months and line up every single step we're going to take. It's more like something that you have been puzzling over or working on just kind of clicks. And it felt like it made more sense. And you just find yourself doing whatever that next step is, whatever that action step is, whatever that tangible thing, whatever decision maybe had to be made, having some kind of peace around something you've been wrestling with. I think this energy is likely to show up for all of us in really diverse ways based on what's going on in our path. But overall, many of us are likely to experience a greater sense of confidence and clarity and feeling more emboldened to keep moving in a direction that feels more lit up, like we've been maybe standing at a crossroads, and all of a sudden we see, oh, this is the path that I need to take. Or maybe something that you have thought was a problem isn't. You suddenly find a mindset shift and find what you need to see your way through and to shift how you relate to something or how you're working with something. And so some of the conflict dissipates and you feel more peaceful about the direction you are going. Something else that I'm feeling right now is some of the things that have been distracting people, things that have been cluttering up your energy field or your thought field. It feels like some of those are wrapping up or things that have perhaps been preoccupying your time or attention or focus are dying down. Maybe they have been put to rest, maybe they've come to a completion. So again, that is going to free up more space. And in that space is that idea of seeing more clearly, being able to recognize your next step and having some of the ease and peace that comes when we have clarity. I did something fun this week when I was channeling this message, and I actually asked the Akashic Records, what's a journal prompt for this week? What might you recommend as a way to journal about this energy? And I love the prompt that they gave us. It's very simple. And it is, what do I most want to accomplish right now? And what do I need to do to accomplish that? So, for example, for me, I probably have several things on that list, but one of them is I committed to coming up with a rough draft of this Oracle deck and at least having the cards done by the holidays. And so for me today, it was we'll work on it. If that is something that I most want to accomplish right now, and I want to honor my creative commitment and honor the deadline that I gave myself, then what do I need to do to accomplish that? And that's a very practical thing. It is to work on the deck and to assign myself times where I'm going to complete it and not make excuses. I'm just going to do it. And so, really identifying what is it that you most want to accomplish right now? It could be something tangible. It could also be something intangible that is something you're working on in your inner world, something you're working on in your spiritual path, something you're working on in a relationship. Again, this might show up differently for you than it does for me. But what do you most want to accomplish right now? And then what do you need to do to accomplish that? And if it's something really big that you're working on, then always bring it back to what is your next right step? What do you need to do in this phase of that project? Our tarot card of the week is the nine of earth. I love this card. This is one of my very favorite tarot cards, and it holds a lot of personal meaning for me. But I drew this as the one for all of us for the collective energy, a message that supports us. It came out in reverse. I am working with the Good Tarot deck by Call Up Baron Reed for these readings. And when I get a card from this deck in reverse, my interpretation of that is not the opposite of whatever message it is right side up. I feel like reversed is speaking about an energy that is more internal and more inward, something that we might be working on inside of ourselves or feeling inside of ourselves, something that might be emerging within us as opposed to happening around us. So the nine of earth is an interesting card because last week we had the eight of earth. And I haven't been doing these many energy updates long, but it's the first time that we've had a sequence of cards, two weeks in a row, that are building on each other. Last week, the eight of earth was all about being the artisan of our lives, being the craftsman, being both a teacher and being teachable and being encouraged to work on whatever it is that holds value to us and to keep going back to our workbench and refining it. The nine of earth is a card of completion. It is a card of things coming full circle. It's a card of contentment. It is a card of feeling a sense of self-efficacy and self-sufficiency. And it's a card that I often think of as related to wholeness of being, and then also wholeness of being in terms of feeling like you have a good grasp on whatever material things make up the resources that are meaningful to you in your life. So sometimes this card might mean money, but there are so many forms of abundance that Pentacle speaks to beyond just monetary value. It is creativity and resources, the things we've created, our personal possessions, our homes, our sanctuary. There's so many things about that. And I often think it speaks to those inner qualities of having a sense of inner security, inner stability, belonging to ourself, belonging to nature, belonging to the world around us. So a lot of beautiful energy in this card. And the key words from the guidebook are discipline, self-reliance, reliable resources, restraint and self-control, the final stone placed in the foundation. And our affirmation is I know I can rely on myself in spirit. There are many tools at my disposal, and I use my resources wisely, solidifying the foundation of my security and the material world. I am diligent and disciplined, focused on completing the work I began long ago. I stick to my program, trusting that the plan is unfolding before me exactly as spirit intended. What a beautiful message to end on today. Thank you so much for joining me on the podcast. I will be back next week with a new Your Heart Magic episode. In the meantime, I hope you find your joy this week. Have a beautiful week, and as always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
