SPEAKER_00:

Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, and happy solstice, happy holidays, Merry Christmas, happy almost new year, and anything else that you might celebrate this time of year. I am wishing everyone joy. We have a short episode today of the podcast. I almost skipped this week because of the holidays, but I wanted to hop on here and bring through a message from the Akashic and from the Tarot and also share a little winter poem that I wrote years ago. So I thought take this 15 minutes and make this podcast and make this your offering to those that connect and listen. Thank you so much for being here. The Akashic message for the week is the word completion. And when I open the records and ask, what is the energy right now? I had such a sense of all good things must end. And I felt like the Akashic said that a little bit tongue-in-cheek because 2025 was not the best year for some people. I acknowledge that. And so I think that there might be some people who come to the beginning of the new year and say, Oh my gosh, good riddance. What a year. I don't want to repeat that. It was the year of the snake. There was a lot of shedding and transformation going on. There's a lot happening in our world right now. And I think there are many that have been going through their own personal sheddings and letting goes and all kinds of shifts and changes. But there is a sense of ending that I feel coming with everything. And some of that feels like the turn of the calendar year. And there's this natural collective energy around endings at this time. But I also feel that it is a time that many are looking back and asking the question, well, what was good about this year? What were the gifts of this year? An awareness of maybe change and the passage of time, an awareness of where you were on your journey this time last year and where you are now. So when we talk about the idea of completion and all good things must end, I don't feel that the Akashic meant that the year 2025 was the best year ever. If it was for you, congratulations. That's amazing. We need some people out there who think this was a banner year for them personally. But I felt that the Akashic was speaking more to the general idea of transience and the idea that things do end. And there is beauty and sadness in that. There's bittersweet feelings, there's grief in that. There is the honoring of the gifts of the season and what has come to pass. And there is sometimes a sense of loss that comes with letting go and a sense of stepping into a unknown as we move into something new. And that can bring up a lot of feeling. So that is the energy of this week. And I think a wonderful way to work with the last week of 2025, if you wish, is to take some time in your journal and make a list of what happened this year for you. Sometimes I go through and I'll do it month by month. That's just my way of tracking each month. Sometimes I feel like time itself blends one day into the other. And I'm not sure that I always am mindful in the moment. And it's my way of redeeming the time that I did have this year and bringing presence to my memories and to my recollections of what gift did each month have, what kinds of things might have happened. Where was I at? What lessons did I learn? What was the good? What was the not so good? How was I feeling? How have I changed? And sometimes I will just do one big long, like a monster cookie list, a mashup with a little bit of everything in it. And it's just a mix of good, bad, ugly, and between the mundane in no particular order, but total freestyle off the top of my head, just putting it down. So do whatever works for you. But it's definitely a wonderful time if you have a creative practice to tap into the energy of endings and anything that you feel you need to do to bring completion to something. Our card of the week is the ten of fire. And I smiled when I pulled this card because we got this message from the Akashic about completion being the theme of the week, and the Ten of Fire is a card of completion. Tens and the tarot deck traditionally mean an ending. They are the last little bit of something that is fading into the sunset, even as something new is being reborn. So each ten, each suite has slightly different energy around it. Fire tends to be creativity, inspiration when we have seen a project through. Sometimes there's a sense of burnout that can come from this card. If we've really pushed ourselves and kind of stoked ourselves beyond what our inner fire can handle, and we feel that we are tired and in need of a rest. And if that is you, then this is a wonderful season to take a little bit of receptive space and to not do much at all and just be. It is winter time here in the northern hemisphere. So it might feel slightly different for you if you're in the southern. But I know for us that live in the northern right now, with winter solstice just happening, I am very much enjoying a little bit of extra energy of being more restful, lighting more candles, being cozy, island style cozy. It can be cooler in the mornings and evenings. I'm wearing shorts right now, so it's still warm in the daytime. But we've had some weather, we've had some winds, we've had some days that are chillier. I had a few days that I felt really cold in my office and went and put my fuzzy slippers on and wrapped a shawl around me. And those little moments incite a vibration of coziness in me and comfort, appreciating the lights on the Christmas tree and the holiday decorations and some extra treats. So I am enjoying wintering right now and being a little bit more inward and reflective. And so this card speaks to that ending. And it spoke to me when I pulled it. I thought, what a wonderful card. I resonate with it personally, and it really illustrates the message for the week. So I'll read and share this little blurb from the guidebook, which is the good tarot book that goes along with the card deck that I've been using for these tarot pools. Ten of Fire, keywords, burning away, releasing the excess, endings clear way for beginnings. And the affirmation is I may be overcommitted and have taken on too many burdens. In this moment, I do the work of decluttering my life. All that I release will take new form and serve the greater whole. But I no longer need to hold on to it simply because it once seemed to have value for me. I thank it for what it did for me, but say goodbye to the emotions, relationships, and situations that I realize do not belong in my life anymore. How's that for a card of completion? I love it when the tarot pool that I do echoes the Akashic message. Sometimes they're a little bit different. And that's always fun because it gives us diverse energies to interpret and intuit the week ahead with, but this week it felt very aligned to me. So before I close today, I want to share a poem that I wrote. I probably shared this last solstice. I think it will likely be a Your Heart Magic podcast tradition that I share this this time of year. And it's just a poem that reflects the energies of the season from more of a childlike gaze. And I know not everybody might celebrate Christmas who is listening to this. So I absolutely honor that if this is you. But that is a tradition in my own family. And so when I wrote this poem, I was tapping into this idea of vintage Christmas and nostalgia and holiday type fairy tales and wanting to evoke a kind of romantic, almost vintage Christmas postcard kind of flavor that spoke to a simpler time. This is called the invitation. December breezes in with streams of snowy winds, candlelight and comfort rituals become the hymns, which lend and send their sighs for winter's darkest night. Peppermint swirls and teddies twirl. The child within whirls in delight. Cocoa laden stacks of books bring heartwarm and vision sight. Jack Frost nips and dips his silver twist and sugar plum fist into Advent logs wicks and drips, while fire's toast burns hearthright. Chris Kringle pulls in on sleigh bell's thread. As Christchild rings peace to all, and essence is light. Tabancing mice and ball-bouncing bears ornament the adornment of evergreen's height. Laden tables offer able spice divine and turkey delight. Butter ram punch, savory pumpkin brunch, tart apple crunch, and crisp wine white. Emerald green, sparkle light strings, noble blues, red rose, rubright. We joy and feel, grieve and heal, remember with zeal this year's reveal. Celebrate the holiness by solstice moonlight. Reflect and collect our true soul select, inviting in love on gentle winters at longest night. That is a tongue twister, my friends. I will tell you that. And I am very proud of myself. I only had to say one line over and re-recorded because I tripped up on my own tongue twist. That was wonderful to write. Thank you so much for listening and for joining me on the podcast today. I will be back next week and I will be bringing through some of the energies that we might see in the year 2026 and bringing in a New Year's message and whatever else the Akashic Records have to share with us. In the meantime, have a beautiful holiday season. Be really good to you. I know this is a time that's not easy for some. So please take care of yourself wherever you're at. Honor your pace and your journey and whatever is happening in your heart. And as always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
