Akashic Energy Update: Clean Sweep Beginnings

Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wright Episode 152

We welcome 2026 with a clean sweep: a collective energy of completion, gentle release, and small steps that grow into lasting change. If you’re sensing gradual momentum rather than a sprint, you’re not behind; you’re aligned with a sustainable rhythm.

We talk practical tools for living that rhythm, including micro goals that reduce friction and add up over time. Along the way, we explore how to trust your own season of soul and honor that your pace may differ from the collective, and that’s not only okay, it’s wise.

Key themes and points include:

• Akashic energy update focusing on clearing space
• Letting go in layers without self-judgment
• Gradual momentum and sustainable pacing
• Micro goals as daily, achievable actions
• Ace of Fire for creative beginnings and focus
• Affirmation on co-creative power and dreaming big
• Poem on nostalgia, release, and being present

If you’re ready to feel lighter, more focused, and warmly motivated, this conversation offers a clear path: release in layers, choose one small action, and keep the candle of your heart bright.

Tune in next week for a new episode to support and empower your light.

Aloha, and welcome to Your Heart Magic, an illuminating space where psychology, spirituality, and heart wisdom meet. Here's your host, Dr. Bethane Kapanski Wright, author, psychologist, and spiritual educator.

SPEAKER_00:

Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic, and welcome to a brand new year. Here we are, 2026. And we have an Akashic Energy update to kick off the start of the year at Tarot Reading. And I'm going to share a poem for the new year as well. Starting with the Akashic, the energy for this week is called Clean Sweep. And that is the phrase that I was given when I opened the Akashic Records for the first week of January of 2026. This feels kind of cliche to say this, but I really felt that brand new page energy coming through for a lot of people. And I saw this visual image of when you've cleaned your space and you've dusted and swept stuff up, and everything looks kind of sparkling and feels really good and ready to go. And there was a sense of openness, a sense of letting go that is continuing. We have been working with that energy over the past month. Actually, I think a lot of that was 2025 for many of us. But this feels like wrapping things up at completion, making amends if there's any left to do of that, tying up loose ends, doing any release work or forgiveness work. There is a new moon coming up in the middle of January. And I get a sense that a lot of that work will feel kind of tidied up by then. But these first few weeks are a wonderful time to continue to do some letting go and really tying up of loose ends, those finishing touches. And it's not so much that our work is ever done. I really love the idea of letting everything go and saying, I am not taking this with me into 2026. And there are some people that will set a resolution or an intention around that and make a behavioral change or like actually do something where they stop one way of being and start another entirely. But I think with some of the release work that we might think about emotionally, things that might represent emotional clutter, energetic clutter, things that are more relational or heart-based and less behavioral, I think many of us will be letting go over and over and over again. But I do feel a big sense of release and completion. And so even if you feel like you have let go of something and it pops back up a little bit later on in the year, don't feel like you're not doing your inner work. I think that's really normal. We let go in degrees and shades and tones and siphon off a layer of energetic debris and scrape another off every time we revisit something. So I think it's a process, not so much a one-time thing, but I do have a sense of this clean energy, this new energy. And I want to put that in the context of the first quarter of 2026 when I did the Akashic Magic quarterly message, which is my quarterly newsletter that just came out today. And I looked into the energy for the first quarter. I was given the title, The Great Clearing. And I saw these wide open fields and wide open spaces. And it did feel like there had been this huge clearing of space that had happened for a lot of people. And so this idea of clean sweep and tying up those loose ends and feeling that blank page energy, that freshness of a new year, that sparkling energy of what do we want to create? What possibilities do we want to have? What new opportunities might I want to create for myself? If I want to be walking out of this year in a different place than I am right now, what do I need to do this first month in order to start to move in that direction? Patience with the process is very much recommended. And one other thing that I feel is really important to note is that the Akashic said that momentum might feel gradual and kind of slow and steady throughout the course of the year. Now keep in mind, whenever I'm bringing these messages through, it is this general energy for the collective. And so how you interpret that or how you feel might be 100% in alignment with what I'm saying. You might be nodding, it might all be resonating, and you might find yourself in a different soul cycle or feeling something different, which is beautiful and fine and wonderful. These are umbrella themes that are overarching the bulk of people, I would say, the bulk of the energy right now. But always trust your intuition, always trust your own season of soul, always trust whatever's going on inside of you and whatever you feel called to do. So if you have all sorts of movement this first month, that is beautiful. Though many of us might feel that it takes a while to build that momentum and that this year is more about a gradual, sustainable pace, that we are slowly immersing ourselves into the new energy and allowing things to emerge over time as opposed to diving in and immediately running in the direction of a goal. So I'm a big fan of micro goals this time of year and looking at teeny tiny things that I can do to move the needle forward on some of the areas in my life that I want to grow. And I think that for me, microgoals is one of my words of the year. I wrote down about 10 keywords today that I want to work with in the year ahead. And I decided to do that this year instead of intentions. I did write out a list of things that I'd like to accomplish or achieve or see come to fruition. And I will keep going back to that. But for me, a greater emphasis is trying to align with the qualities that I want to embody more, that I want to work on, that I want to feel values that I might want to come into deeper calibration with. And I was inspired by that from the Akasha Quarterly Message that talked about thinking of the year ahead in terms of identifying qualities that we want to vibrate with, qualities that we want to hold the frequency of, that we want to build into us resources and ways of being that we might want to grow in our life in a greater way. So my keywords had all sorts of different ones. And one of them was micro goals and wanting to take this year and set goals so that I feel like I'm moving in the direction that I'd like to go, but keep it really small, like very micro, very achievable. And things that feel like almost like an easy win, except easy wins add up to bigger wins. So I think small steps adding up is very much a theme for myself right now. And I feel like the Akashic spoke to that as well. Our tarot card of the week is the ace of fire. I love this card for the first week of 2026. I think this is a great card, and there's no bad tarot cards. All of them have different guidance to give us, but aces are beginnings. They are always the seeds that we're planting, the things that we are thinking about growing. And fire is our creativity. It's our passion, it's our desire. Fire, ask us to come into the candlelight of our heart, the flame of our heart, and ask ourselves what lights my heart up. How can I grow my light this year? How can I nurture my inner light? How do I feel called to create in the world and to bring my creativity forward? How might I want to express myself? How do I inspire myself? Fire energy is interesting because we have too much of it. We burn ourselves out really fast. But when we are doing micro goals and little flames that still light a candle, and we're taking that ace energy and being very intentional about what we want to plant, we can find something that we nurture and sustain so it actually grows into what we want to cultivate. So I think this is a great card to complement the Kashik message for this week. It's a card that speaks to new beginnings. And I'm going to share the keywords from the guidebook. This is The Good Tarot by Colette Baron Reed. Ace of Fire, Spirit-powered action, inspire transformation, access to co-creative power. And here is the affirmation that's written in the book. When I feel my connection to spirit, I see unlimited potential for transformation. There is no reason to fear because I am supported fully and imagining something new and daring to make it happen. This is a time to dream big. I can be bold and free because spirit inspires me to turn my dreams into reality. What a wonderful car to begin the new year. And before we close today, I want to share a poem. I actually wrote this years ago, back around the new year, and I thought it would be lovely to share it on the podcast today. This is called The Things That Come to Pass. Yesterday is still so close. I can almost hold it in my grasp. Its memories twined with soft feathers of fancy and nostalgia-laced filters. Everything taking on a faded tent, a quieter, gentler, lighter, kinder. There is this ache if I stare at those memories too long, humble in paucity. They sit unsettled, a skin remembered that doesn't quite suit, yet is wont to go away. They yearn to linger in the corners of my migrant mind, reminding me of the things that came to pass and the passage of these days. I'd retrace those moments if I could, relive, repeat, revive, reveal. Sometimes I miss them, Miss Wynne, Miss Him. Those songs of old Lang Sign filled with bittersweet faces of times gone by, and echoes of life's yesterday. A person could get lost in such a place. And since I wish to stay found, wish to rewake, rejoice, rebirth, renew, wish to be in the times of this day, I instead fondly say hello, adieu, then let those old friends pass on through. For life wasn't meant to be lived in remembrance, but through experience. The roads we've passed are just that, the past. And as much as there is comfort in the hanging on, the truth of letting go is the only truth that will give our hearts the space to be free. So we can be in the days of right now, be present for what comes to pass. Live, learn, and love new memories. Happy 2026, everyone. And I will be back next week with a new Your Heart Magic episode. As always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
