Your Heart Magic

Akashic Energy Update: Wisdom And Clear Seeing

Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wright Episode 154

The storm isn’t the message—the calm center is. We open the week with a powerful Akashic theme: wisdom paired with clear seeing, a reminder to stand steady, trust your heart, and let insight rise above the noise. With a new moon in Capricorn, we trade the demand for perfect illumination for the kind of grounded intuition that guides the next right step.

Key themes include:

• weekly energy: wisdom and clear seeing
• new moon as a call to intuition and trust
• the great clearing and the power of space
• journaling prompts to surface inner knowing
• humility, uncertainty and heart intelligence
• resisting the urge to outsource authority
• choosing the next right step from center

You are your own oracle—capable of listening, integrating, and acting with compassion. If you’re craving clarity, resilience, and a deeper conversation with your intuition, this is your pause and reset.

Tune in next week for a new episode to support and empower your light.

SPEAKER_00:

Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethany Kapansky Wright, and we have an energy update for this week, a tarot card of the week and a poetry selection that uh spoke to me to share with everyone on the podcast today. So I'm having a lot of fun doing these weekly energy updates. I think that it's always interesting to go into the Akashic Records and to see how they're weaving a story together that is building on each week and building on this bigger pattern also holds true for the week at hand and also has a multitude of meanings that might speak to us in different ways. And that is what I love about the wisdom of the Akashic. It is so simple and yet also so deep. And so I love how it meets the listener and each of us as individuals with where we're at. And speaking of the word wisdom, that is the overall energy that the Akashic Records gave us for the week ahead. There are two words that I received when I opened the records. And the first one was wisdom, and the second one was the phrase clear seeing. And the records for me often open with almost like a montage of different images and words that give me a sense of what the overall energy is. And this week I saw, first of all, a storm and somebody standing as very still and being in the eye of the storm and holding their center and holding their calm. And I saw images of owls, and owls are often associated with wisdom. They're associated with the goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom. They are often associated with being able to see in the dark with intuition and discernment and truth seeing. I saw somebody standing on top of almost like a big globe, and they were looking down from this bird's eye view, and they were seeing things from a higher perspective. And as all that was going on, I was hearing over and over and over again the words wisdom and clear seeing as the overall energy that illustrates this week ahead, which I find really beautiful. We have a new moon coming up, a new moon in Capricorn on the 18th of January of this month. And I often think new moons are a time where we might not see things clearly. And so we are asked in the symbolism of the darkness of the new moon, we're asked to see by our intuition. We're asked to trust. We are asked to come into our inner self when not everything feels illuminated and check in with what we already know and trust our process and trust more of that intuitive wisdom of allowing things to unfold. And so anything having to do with you coming into your wisdom this week feels really supportive. This feels like a week where there's going to be a lot of insights. You might feel like you see more clearly patterns in your life that lead to bigger epiphanies, bigger aha moments, bigger revelations. And just a reminder: the Akashic Records called the whole first quarter of 2026, The Great Clearing, with the idea that a lot of new space and blank slate energy has been opening. And when new space opens, when we have cleared out and processed and released and shed and let go of all this old stuff, we not only create space in our life, but in that space, something new can come in. We can see when we have space. If you have a room that is messy and filled with clutter, all you often see is the clutter. Or sometimes people are so used to looking at clutter that they kind of look right past it, or they have a sense of overwhelm. And all of a sudden you start clearing space, and this amazing thing happens. You can see the room again. You could see perhaps things you want to keep, things you want to throw out, what you might do differently in the space. You start re-envisioning it, you start reimagining it, you have insights. There is more room to see clearly, to have epiphany. And so that's a wonderful metaphor for what we have been going through on a multitude of levels. But overall, this idea that we've been clearing out old junk, clearing space and decluttering, and that was a lot of 2025. And so 2026, we enter with a lot more openness and a lot more space where we can see things differently and see from a different perspective. And this week in particular feels like one where we are going to be having more insights and being able to see our path or see how things hook up. I will be really curious to hear how that shows up for each of us. It might be really different, but look for the theme of insight and clear seeing in your life. And in particular, look for how is your wisdom supporting you right now? What do you know about your life? What do you know? What unique blend of wisdom do you have that is helping you on the path right now? The Akashic Records guided us for this week to really check in and tap into our own wisdom. They actually suggested the journaling prompts of write about what you already know and what holds true for you. Write about what have you learned from your experiences and what kinds of life lessons and practical life tools or perspectives have you maybe learned from your unique experiences and what those things have taught you. And the idea this week is that we are coming into ourselves as a source of wisdom. Anybody who is truly in their wisdom, not their ego, not arrogance, but just grounded wisdom, grounded heart wisdom. They are in touch with what they know and they also know what they don't know. Wisdom doesn't need to know everything. It doesn't have to have all the answers, it doesn't have to see the path, it doesn't have to even have a loud voice and say, this is what's true, and stand on a soapbox and shout that out. Wisdom just knows. And when we are in our wisdom, we also exercise our heart intelligence and we have humility and allow ourselves to know what we know and not know what we don't know. So wisdom learns to be comfortable with uncertainty and learns to be uncomfortable with the gray areas and the parts of the path where we might still be seeking an answer, or we are still allowing things to unfold or allowing more of life to happen. And so our guidance for this week is not to turn a deaf ear to another source of wisdom where there's somebody that we access, or books, or some form of information that helps enhance our understanding. It's not about that, but it is about bringing it back to yourself and realizing no matter how much somebody else knows about something, even if they hold an expertise in a certain science or spiritual discipline or something in life that you're interested in learning about, even then, you still have your own expertise. You have your own life experience, you are your own oracle and your own guru. And it's important not to forget that and not to outsource your power to another and think that others know more than you do, or that they somehow have their finger on the pulse of the universe or on what's going on in the world or going on with life, and they know so much more than you. You know things. You know things in your mind, you know things from your experience, you know things from your heart, and you know when to ask for help. You know when to open up and say, okay, well, I don't know this part, so I'm gonna do my research and I'm gonna use the sound mind that I have and I'm going to figure it out, and I trust myself to figure it out. But you have your own unique blend of wisdom, and that is what the Akashic is encouraging you to come into this week and to see how that is showing up in your life. We have a very intriguing tarot card of the week. I say intriguing because I pulled the card Temptation for our weekly reading. And this is from the Good Tarot Deck by Callett Barron Reed. And in this deck, temptation is the euphemism that they give into the card. This is the good tarot, right? And in the good tarot deck, the author wanted to remove the stigma of these scary tarot cards. And so card 15 in traditional decks was the devil. And as you can imagine, that is a card that if somebody pulls it and it actually says the devil on it because of the religious and spiritual and mythological history and context and large, large library of ideas and thoughts on that particular archetype, it could feel really scary to people. So I really like in the good tarot, card 15 got a rebrand. It's temptation. And sometimes when we get this card as an archetype, it is asking us to consider where in our life we might be out of alignment or not falling into temptation in a classic sense of the word, where we've strayed and we're doing wrong and we're wandering down the path of sin. At least that is not my sense or interpretation of it. It is more of a call to how are you out of your heart magic right now? What is pulling you? What perhaps shiny, glittery, blinking thing might you be following? And it's taking you from the path and taking you from your truth. And you're being asked to come back into it. So sometimes temptation is something that might come from outside of us. And this deck speaks to that. But this card came out upside down. And when I get an upside down card, I interpret it as something that is usually happening within me, something that I might be working on in my own heart or my belief system in my inner self. Sometimes I might look at an upside down card as an energy that is emerging in life and hasn't quite risen to the surface yet. But the minute that I saw this card flip upside down and come from the deck, my first thought was the temptation is this idea of disempowering ourselves because we think that others know better than we do. The temptation is doubting our own self-knowledge, our own self-efficacy. It is those times that we fall into fear within ourselves and we buy into the lie that we're not enough or that we can't do the thing or we'll never figure it out. When we buy into the lie that we've somehow made a mistake and that we've messed up our life, or we made the wrong decision for this week, my sense of this card is that it's speaking to the temptation to become the storm and become part of that chaos storm energy that's swirling around us and fall into fear instead of gathering our power within us and standing in the middle and saying, I'm gonna take a breath and I'm gonna figure this out and I'm gonna find my way through perspective by perspective. So I look at this card and I see it as times that we might mentally trap ourselves, that we might mentally limit ourselves or get in our own way, or we beat ourselves up over something. And the longer we do that, the longer we are not really on our path. We're just kind of in a mental prison and we're berating ourselves or going through regrets or feeling something, going back over old territory that there's just nothing new to learn from, or we're feeding ourselves negative garbage and telling ourselves mean things about ourselves. Maybe we're feeding fears in our life and putting a lot of energy and attention into that. And so I look at this card and I see an invitation to free our minds, to free our hearts and remember that no matter how messy things feel, you can always take a breath and come back into your center and just ask your heart, what is my next right step? That's all you need to know. That's your wisdom. What's my next right step? And listen to what it has to say, and to just take things one step at a time and stay in our center. I want to close with a really quick poem from my book, Heliotrope Knights, and it is called openings. You can't make someone see what they don't wish to see, or teach them a melody they've no use to play, but you can be the change you wish to see. And you can generously cast your pebbles of kindness with all your might into the pond so they can't help but leave ripples. And you can keep on loving for all you're worth. And remember, any real change doesn't begin with opening the eyes, it begins with opening the heart. Thank you so much for joining me this week. I will be back next week with a new Your Heart Magic podcast. Have a wonderful week. Happy new moon to everybody, and as always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
