Your Heart Magic

Small Shifts, Big Alignment: Akashic Energy Update

Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wright Episode 156

What if the most important changes in your life are already happening in quiet ways you can barely see? We dive into “emerging energies” with a nature-driven metaphor—light shifting in a late-afternoon forest—to reframe progress as something you feel and cultivate, not something you force or perform.

With a full moon in Leo approaching, we reflect on the tension between spotlight energy and grounded alignment, inviting you to shine in ways your life can hold. The tarot’s Messenger of Water leads us into desire, self-love, and the art of romanticizing the ordinary. You’ll hear practical, doable rituals—morning affirmations, candle-lit intentions, gratitude lists—that stitch meaning into your day and build a life that feels congruent.

Key themes include:

• emerging energies as slow, natural change
• noticing micro shifts in thought and habit
• easing nervous system strain from speed culture
• choosing small daily practices for integrity
• discerning glitter from genuine growth
• Leo full moon contrasted with subtle alignment
• Messenger of Water on desire and self-love
• poem on release, ritual, and making space

By the end, you’ll have a handful of small, steady practices to align with what truly lights you up—and the permission to trust slow change. If this conversation resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs gentleness today, and leave a review to help others find Your Heart Magic.

Tune in next week for a new episode to support and empower your light.

SPEAKER_00:

Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, and we have an Akashic Energy update for this week, along with our tarot card of the week and a selected poetry passage that I have to share from one of my books. So diving into this week, I really love the message from the Akashic Records. They gave me the phrase Emerging Energies to best describe the week ahead and the energy at this time. And what I saw as I was opening the records was as if you are in a forest and maybe you're there at two or three in the afternoon on a beautiful sunshine afternoon. And the sunlight slowly starts to change and it starts to move as things gradually build towards dusk. And the change happens really slowly. It's not something that's instantaneous, it's not something that happens in a blink. It's more like if you are paying attention and you are perhaps tracking the sun or watching the way it hits the trees, and you were to sit there for a few hours, you might witness the changing of the light and the emergence of the evening tide, the evening time, the emergence of a new energy. And I love it when the Akasha gives me nature images to illustrate a point because that really resonated with me. I think that oftentimes when something new is emerging in our life and we have been going through a process of change, we feel like it should happen faster than it is. But our encouragement this week is to look at the subtle transitions and changes that are happening in our lives at this time, to really pay attention to the small ways that we might be doing something differently, small ways we might be thinking about something differently or having a perspective shift. Perhaps there is an inkling or a new insight that's been rising to the surface. Maybe you felt called to do something a little bit differently, have a novel idea, try something new. There's this idea of these very small, tiny little shifts that are happening. And we are invited to tune in. The energy is excellent right now for helping us see the ways that new energy might be emerging in our life. And something I really appreciated is that the records talked about how in our modern age, there is often this big expectation that comes with change. It can feel like things are happening so fast. The records pointed out that people's nervous systems are pretty heightened right now. There's a lot of stress. Many people are used to operating at a really high velocity that isn't good for mindfulness. It's not good for our nervous system. But we're used to quick change. We're used to instant change. We are used to the next big new thing, the big headline, the big grand, whatever it is. There's almost this bigness to the world as if there's this expectation that everything's meant to happen fast or be epic or be huge or be really in your face or really obvious. And the records have guided us to really tune in to the very subtle ways that things are changing in our life. That oftentimes change isn't something that's big. It's not always something that results in disruption and upheaval. Many people had a big shedding in the year 2025 on an energetic and spiritual level, and perhaps in the outward manifestation in our physical lives, a lot has changed. There's been a lot of letting go, a lot of transformation energy. And sometimes when we've been through that kind of transformation, it feels like you're sitting around waiting for the next thing to happen. Well, now what do I do? What's the next right step? How am I changing? I feel like I'm not getting there fast enough. And there's kind of this like, hey, like hold your horses coming from the records. Like you do not have to be in a rush to change. It is happening. New things are emerging for each of you. And so if you can really look at your life and think about how am I doing things differently? What subtle shifts might I be noticing? How might I be thinking differently, repattering something? What am I doing that I have made some sort of a change? And the guidance this week is to continue to look at the small ways you can change the status quo in your own lives. And if you have a goal, a dream, a vision, something that you're working on, something that you're working towards, what is a small daily practice, even something simple. If you are working on being a more positive person, combating negativity with more self-compassion, with more love, if you're working on growing your light. Perhaps you start the day saying an affirmation. Maybe you start the day and you light a candle and burn some incense and say a prayer before you begin. Maybe you do a gratitude list at the end of the day. There's not one thing that you need to do, but the overall idea is find those small daily practices that you can do and start implementing them because those small daily practices, those really mundane, constant things that we do that just become part of our daily routine are part of what helps create a life of integrity and meaning and magic. So there's a lot of encouragement right now to look past the glitter and the glitz. And that's kind of interesting. There's a full moon in Leo coming up on February 1st. And I often think of Leo, I'm a Leo. And you know, Leo's this sign of the sun. It's about standing in the spotlight and owning our shine and being comfortable, stepping into our authenticity, our creativity, our passion, our authority, and really owning whatever it is in us. That's our beauty, our greatness, the things that make us unique. And that's that big, big energy. But the records guidance isn't focused on the bigness. And it's not against that. I didn't ask about the full moon. This is just me kind of commenting and thinking that it's interesting that there's this big full moon energy coming up. And yet the message from the records is really about looking for the subtle ways things are changing, looking for the subtle growth to look past the glitter, to look past the bigness, to look past grandiosity and grandeur, and just come into the small, simple ways. Each of us is making progress on our path. Each of us is bringing change into our lives. And this feels to me like this really gentle aligning where many of us are already implementing changes to step into deeper alignment with whatever it is that we're feel called to create in this upcoming year. Our card of the week is the messenger of water. This actually flew out of the deck when I was shuffling them and getting ready to pull the tarot card of the week. And the messenger of water is related to the Knight of Cups and the traditional tarot. I am using the good tarot by Call It Baron Reed. And there's a slightly different meaning to this card than the traditional Knight of Cups. The messenger of water in this deck is about desire. It is about self-love and following the passions in our heart. That definitely feels a little bit Leo full moon to me when I say those words out loud. What lights you up? What is it that helps you fall in love with your life? Sometimes this card can also mean romantic love and connection and relationship. But I always feel like my favorite interpretation of this is to bring it back to a space of connecting with our ability to love ourselves, to fall in love with our life, to perhaps romanticize our life and look at the ordinary in our life, look at those little moments and find a way to bring beauty to them, to find a way to bring softness, to bring something sacred to them, to see that those little mundane moments are the joy in life. They often are the little gifts and the little treasures that bring light into the day-to-day when we take the time to see them through a softer lens and to see the magic in the ordinary. I also feel like this card is an invitation as we move into the month of February, which is traditionally linked to Valentine's Day. I personally love Valentine's Day for zero romantic reasons, but I actually really love flowers. I love chocolates and I love pink and red and stuffed animals. So like I will walk down a Valentine's aisle. I really fell in love with this holiday when I was single. And I used to go and buy flowers for my girlfriends and flowers for myself. I take myself out to dinner, and I really felt like it was a month of self-love. So I feel like as we move into February, which sometimes is a month associated with love, that this is an invitation to think about how you can step more deeply into self-love this month? How can you keep aligning with the desires of your heart? And in what ways might you already be making small changes in your life that are helping you live more in accordance with your heart, with your authenticity, and with whatever it is that lights you up. So I want to close today with a passage from Small Pearls Big Wisdom. This is called a clear heart ready to receive. And I feel like it speaks to the energy of the necessity of letting go, of shedding, of releasing, so that we can open up and bring new emerging energy into our life that is better aligned for who we are now. It's never easy to let go of the people and things that may have hurt us or the pieces in our life that didn't entirely turn out as expected. But those energetic, emotional, and situational endings are often the catalyst required for a new beginning. Living with the clutter from the past is the equivalent of emotional hoarding and will only prevent us from having clean and open spaces to receive the gifts of the present. We have to learn to clear out the space in our hearts so we have new room to shift our focus to the things meant for us. Everybody deserves clean, open, honest spaces. Let go into the clear space, cut a cord, do a ritual, listen to a sound bath, donate a box of stuff, release it to the full moon, press your palms against the earth, and shed your psychic debris, trusting it will be composted into new life. Find both practical and symbolic ways to let go as many times as you need. Stay with this for as long as you need. Sometimes letting go isn't a one-time process, but an ongoing commitment to release, so we can keep moving forward with a free and clear heart ready to receive. Thank you so much for joining me in this episode of Your Heart Magic. That passage was from Small Pearls Big Wisdom. It is available on Amazon and other online retailers for anyone looking for some soul medicine for your mind and your heart. I will be back next week with a new Your Heart Magic episode, and we will look at what the Akashic records say about the week ahead and keep diving into what energies are emerging at this time. And as always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
