Feeling swept into bigger waters lately? We offer an Akashic energy update anchored in big water imagery and invite a week of surrender, trust, and creative grounding. We weave psychology, spirituality, and creativity into tools that calm anxiety, clarify values, and help you ride the current with grace.
From eclipses to retrograde ripples, we explore how cosmic cycles can mirror personal transitions and why your nervous system relaxes when you stop forcing neat endings to stories that are still unfolding.
Creativity becomes the bridge that makes all of this usable. We offer simple, potent prompts: write a value-based mantra, create daily space for surrender, revisit a time you truly let go and map how you did it, and choose a color for surrender to cue calm in real time. Key themes include:
• big, expansive energy framed as water and tide
• eclipse and retrograde as cycle amplifiers
• surrender as active trust over forced control
• observer mind to ease anxiety and settle the nervous system
• values as anchors and mantras for stability
• befriending discomfort with compassionate parts work
• creative prompts for writing, ritual, and color imagery
• practical ways to create daily space to surrender

SPEAKER_00Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright. And in today's episode, we are going to do an energy update and look at what the Akashic Records have to say about the current energy right now. And I also want to add in some psychological perspective. How do we take the spiritual and apply that perspective to our life in a grounded, applicable way that supports our mental health and supports our psychological well-being? And I'm also going to share a couple creative prompts and creative ideas for how we might work with this information to expand our thinking and expand our creativity and our ability to be adaptable and fluid and to think out of the box and imagine and envision and feel empowered to be a co-creator of our lives. I always say that while we might not have control over many of the things that happen to us, we do have a choice in how we work with it, how we think about it, the narratives and perspectives that we construct, and the creativity and imagination and resourcefulness that comes from that to me in my life has made such a difference in feeling empowered to define my path and define my narrative for myself and feel like I'm engaging with life in a more authentic space. So, first the Akashic energy update for this week. The Akashic Records said that the energy this week is big and expansive. And that was echoed with all these water images. When I opened the records, I saw somebody like out in the ocean, and there was all these big waves, and it wasn't a scary image. They weren't drowning or going under in the waves, but there was this like big water energy. And there was this idea of being swept up in the tide of life right now, swept up in some of the bigger waves and bigger things happening. And instead of fighting that, allowing ourselves to surrender to the energy right now, I titled this week's energy, Let the River Carry You. Because what it feels like is there is a lot of big energy going on right now. And I think that's probably going to show up in different ways from bigger events happening around us to things that might be happening in our relationships or in people that we know, some of the circles that we touch. It might be things that are happening inside of us where we feel we're going through transformation or we're working on a personal change or we are going through something that feels a little less in our control and more of an invitation to surrender. When we are in the middle of a process or things are shifting around us and circumstances might be shifting, that is a time where we are often guided by spirit to let go and to let go of control and allow ourselves to be in the process instead of trying to control the process. And that certainly echoes the energy this week. I know astrologically there's a lot happening right now. There's this big eclipse going on this week. And I think the blood moon eclipse brings up so much big energy. I believe Mercury's in retrograde. And so there's a lot cosmically that echoes that energy at this time. But what the record said is the more we can work on surrendering right now and set the intention to surrender, let go, be adaptable, allow ourselves to happen with life instead of trying to force life to happen, the more we're going to be able to move through some of these big energies with more peace and more ease. And since we do have this big eclipse going on this week and a big moon going on, I always like to remember that these things move in cycles. So whatever's coming up for you right now, whatever amazing things, challenging things, themes or qualities or energies might be coming up at this time, it's likely that they are going to continue to grow and you will keep building on them over the next six months. You've already been building on them for a while. Nothing happens in isolation. It is an ongoing continuation of our soul evolution and the greater collective evolution. And so, really looking at where are you right now in the middle of everything happening in your life? What themes or energies or ideas or changes might be coming up for you? I love just making a bullet list of these things. I find it really helpful for breaking down the bigness of energy and just trying to apply it in a way that helps me ground and better understand how it might be specifically translating in my own life. And then knowing that we will probably keep building on whatever insights or epiphanies or changes are coming through, and that we might not see the full picture right now. In fact, we probably won't. When I saw that image of being in the water and being in this big body of water and just letting the river carry you, one of the emphasis from the records on that image is you don't really know where you're going to end up. And so if you force yourself to go in one direction or you get really attached that something has to look a certain way, or you need to go back to the way things were, it's just going to be harder if you are able to allow yourself to be carried by the water, to trust in the current of life, the greater flow of life, and trust that you are being taken to wherever you need to go. And when you arrive, you will have some time to test yourself off and reflect on the journey and get your feet underneath you a little bit more. That is going to be a lot easier. Another helpful perspective right now, as you think about being in this space of surrender, is to work on being an observer of your life, to work on witnessing with compassion, compassionate detachment, trying to find that higher perspective and trying to find that bigger perspective right now. That when we try and impose an interpretation on circumstances or events in our life before it's time, we're trying to shortcut a process and grab control back, which is normal. Our mind seeks to find like the safety ashore and certitude when we are in a place and we're feeling a little bit psychologically discombobulated. But the more that we're able just to be an observer and say, all right, this is happening. Well, that's interesting. That's curious. And admittedly, that can be harder to do when we are in the middle of something. We all have attachments and reactions to the things coming up in our life because we care and we're connected. And depending on what it is, it is hard for us to feel like things aren't entirely within our control. But the more that we can work on doing that and finding a perspective of releasing, of being more comfortable with discomfort, of embracing uncertainty, the more we're able to allow ourselves to keep moving through each day and to find more meaning in each day. We step away from the anxiety mind and constantly trying to organize or figure it all out. And we move more into a relationship of trust and trusting in the greater process, trusting in the flow of life, trusting ourselves, trusting spirit, trusting our soul. And I think that shift feels so much better in our minds. It feels so much better in our nervous system. It moves us from anxiety to more of an open, curious space of being able to experience life as opposed to feeling like we're always fighting against life. So something that I really want to start to do and be specific about in this podcast is this is a podcast on spirituality, psychology, and creativity. Those are three of the core tenets of your heart magic. And I decided going into this week that I really want to make sure that I'm emphasizing each of those. So bringing it to the psychological, bringing it to our mental health and the tools in our toolbox. I wanted to bring through a few perspectives this week that might feel helpful for our psychological well-being. And it is hard for many of us to work with uncertainty. I don't love uncertainty. I feel like I will probably forever be a lifelong student of learning how to embrace it. I don't love uncertainty. It's uncomfortable for me. Something that I've learned about myself is that when I am assured of where I'm at and things feel within my control, I'm better able to self-regulate. That is something that a lot of impasse and highly sensitive people we really need. We like to regulate our environment as much as possible. And the more disruptions there are, the more things are turned upside down, the harder it is for anybody. But I think in particular, those that run with those real sensory sensitivities, it is very hard on us. And yet that is the invitation. It's to create a sense of certainty, even when life is changing around you, and to find the things that we can anchor into in order to stay connected and stay grounded while we are going through these processes that invite us to a deeper surrender. So when we are going through change, I think it's really helpful to think about what do you still know? What does still hold true for you? If you are going through some sort of major transition in your life, or you just have a lot of uncertainty about the world right now, or you feel kind of lost in the sea and engulfed by all the big energies going on, being able to come back to that core place of what are your core values? What holds true for you? What do you still believe? And I always find that there's something that we can grab onto here. I've had times where I've really felt challenged with this idea of what do I still believe? What do I still value? I've gone through some things that just rock my world and really rip the rug out from under my feet. But I have found that bringing it back to a space, like for me, I usually will come back to, well, do I still believe in the way of the heart? Do I believe in the intelligence of the heart? Do I still believe that love is wild and wise and that there's some kind of invisible and innate loving intelligence that is helping guide me? Do I still believe in my intuition? Do I still feel connected to nature and have a sense that nature anchors and it grounds? What things still hold true for us? We can always find something, no matter what's going on in our life, something that helps nourish ourselves and that helps us anchor back into something that is whole and real and again, deeply nourishing inside of us. So checking in with yourself on those things and asking those questions and being able to find the things that hold true for you. Another idea for working with the energy right now is to make friends with discomfort, make friends with uncertainty. And I love thinking about aspects of myself in more of an internal family systems kind of way. My inner aspects of Beth An, my little internal representations of these different parts of myself. And so when I say make friends with discomfort and uncertainty, you might see them as, well, hello, discomfort and uncertainty. I see you. I see that you don't know what's going on and this is really uncomfortable. And if you were to have a conversation and say, Welcome, come on in, we're going to figure this out together. I don't need to be afraid of you. How would you embrace those parts of yourself that might have fear or might have a sense of loss of control right now? Or might say, Well, I don't like change. This is really uncomfortable for me. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know who I'm becoming. Whatever feelings might be coming up for you. When we can make friends with those feeling parts and those feeling states, I think it helps us move through the feeling and acknowledge it and clear it, or at least feel more integrated and at peace with it much more quicker than if we fight it. And we keep trying to go back to a space of false control or false certainty, or trying to control the process instead of being open and receiving the process. It is okay to have things feel messy in our lives and not have to fix it. Not everything is meant to be fixed, not everything is meant to be repaired right away. And I think that wisdom of learning to trust in what might feel broken or things that might be coming apart without seeking to necessarily make it fit back into a box, but allowing for things to rearrange themselves and learning to embrace that with more grace serves us really well on the path and helps us find more peace and well-being when we are going through these big energies. Last today, I want to share a few creative perspectives and creative prompts that might feel helpful for the energy of March right now and the energy of this week specifically. These are prompts that you could use as writing prompts. It could just be something that you think about and you take it and make it your own. The first one is to think about creating a mantra based on your values. When we ask ourselves that question, what am I sure of right now? What do I still find security in? What do I find grounding in? I was thinking how helpful it is sometimes just to have a tiny little catchphrase that helps support us and helps tether us to something that feels grounding. So it could be something like love heals and I'm going to be okay. It could be something like I believe in myself, I'm strong and brave and clever, I will figure this out. Anything that helps you find a personal mantra or affirmation. And of course, being specific to whatever situations or circumstances might be coming up for you, make this personal and make it your own. Another idea is asking yourself, how can you create space to surrender each day? I'm really intrigued by this idea. And I wrote it out, I thought, what would that look like? What would it look like to create space to surrender each day? Would that be in the morning when we rise, turning our palms up to life and saying, Help me create something beautiful today and help me embrace surrender with more grace and serenity? Well, what would it look like to bring that through in your day-to-day or your spiritual practice, in your journal, maybe in your artwork, however, you want to think about that? Maybe it just looks like when situations arise in your life and you have one of those silent, screaming persons in your head that you take a deep breath and say, ah, I'm practicing surrender right now and I'm creating space to surrender to the moment and be okay, that things might not feel okay. I was thinking a really lovely writing prompt that goes along with that is reflecting on a time that you did surrender in life and actually think about what did you do? How did you let go? Did you actively surrender? Did you grab on with both fists and life kind of dragged you along until your knuckles were bloody and you thought, oh, I better let go now? How did you let go of something and move more into a space of allowing and letting life happen and letting things unfold? And how did you work with that uncertainty? I love tapping back into wisdom from our younger self because if we've done it before, we can learn to do it again in our present circumstances. We are so much more brave and resilient and clever and resourceful, I believe, than we often give ourselves credit for. And our younger selves hold so much wisdom from the roadmap of challenges and life events that we've experienced. So going back and looking at a time where you felt you were in a space of surrender and reflecting on what did you learn from that can be a really fun, illuminating prompt and help you connect to that inner resource. And then the last idea that I had, and I love this particular creative prompt, it's what color is surrender to you. I love colors. I have played with this imagery a lot on the podcast. I work with it in sessions with clients as well, and we'll ask sometimes what color is love, what color is your heart? What color is peace? What color is well-being? But I love the idea of what color is surrender to you. I did a little meditation on that before I hopped on here today and made this. And I actually had the color turquoise come through, and I was seeing these big blue turquoise skies, and it really connected me with the idea that for me, a visual image of surrender might be standing beneath a huge expanse of sky and just looking up and opening my arms and recognizing how much bigger life is than me and opening to receiving it and opening to connecting with those bigger, higher energies and having more trust in my higher connection, trust in my spiritual connection, trust in life, trust in nature. So, so just bringing all this together, let the river carry you this week. Focus on the energy of surrender right now, especially if you feel like there's big chaotic energies happening in your personal world or around you, focusing on finding that compassionate attachment and that observer's point of view and trying to find higher perspective for life, and then really taking time to think about what grounds you, what still holds true for you, and finding ways that you might work with that. Take a little time to try out one of the creative prompts and see what comes through for you this week. I will be back next week for a New Year's Heart Magic episode. We will have another message from the Akashic Records and be looking at how do we apply that to our mental well-being? How might we be creative with the guidance that we're being told and use it to keep crafting and constructing a life that feels authentic and in alignment with our hearts and with their truth. And as always, have an amazing week. Be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
