Tending What’s Growing: An Akashic Energy Update for Aligned Action
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This week’s energy brings a shift from reflection into action—but not in the way you might expect.
Instead of fast movement or big leaps forward, the Akashic Records offer a different image: tending a garden.
This is a week of:
- clearing what’s been neglected
- preparing what’s ready to grow
- taking small, meaningful steps that support long-term change
While Aries energy builds momentum and encourages forward movement, this episode explores how to work with that energy in a grounded, intentional way—so you’re not rushing ahead, but actually creating the conditions for sustainable growth.
Blending psychology, spirituality, and intuitive insight, we explore:
- how to recognize the difference between urgency and alignment
- why “maintenance energy” is essential for real transformation
- how to take action without overwhelm or burnout
- simple tools to stay connected to yourself while moving forward
You’ll also be guided through a reflective practice to help you identify what in your life is ready to be tended, supported, and strengthened.
If you’ve been feeling the pull to move forward—but also the need to slow down and be intentional—this episode will meet you right where you are.

Closing Blessing And Next Week
SPEAKER_00Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, and today we have an Akashic Energy update for the week ahead. We are also going to be talking about some mental health tools to support your process. And we have a fun creative prompt to bring it into our creators' hearts and give us a fun way to work with the energy. I thought I'd start today with a little bit of a personal reflection that ties into the energy of this week. And I have always been really enamored with gardens. I think many people are. They're so beautiful. And in my fantasy version of my life, I have a beautiful fairy garden with roses and fountains and little stepping stones and all these magical things. And the reality of that is that I am horrible at tending to outdoor spaces, not intentionally. I will water something if I remember to, but I've learned over the years that when I buy plants that need a lot of tending and uh try and do something more with them, that oftentimes they wither over time because I get busy with life and creative work and will forget to caretake them. So I am a woman with a plan this summer. I am hoping to create a little bit more of a garden type space, but keep it more like a patio and get some potted plants and do a better job researching and figuring out like what's realistic for me at this point in time. And how can I take the idea of having this magical fairy garden and translate it into a way that might be workable and would be enjoyable and doesn't necessarily ask a lot from me in terms of the maintenance, but at the same time, I'm able to be really intentional about how I create this. So I've got some ideas and I'm looking forward to creating a space and getting things like solar-powered lights that are again low maintenance. They'll just light up in the evening and finding a few hanging baskets and potted plants and little easy things to make it as simple as possible. And that metaphor really illustrates the energy of the Akashic Records this week because we were actually given the image of tending a garden to talk about this week's energy. It is a week of preparation and intention and careful planning. And when I first tapped into the records for the energy this week, I did see somebody in a garden. And they were cleaning up weeds and pulling stuff and pruning stuff. They were preparing soil and sprinkling seeds and planting things that were going to grow. And I very much felt this energy of very grounded preparation and being very methodical and intentional in the approach. So this is very much a week, according to the Akashic Records, where we are called to do the things that need to be done, cleaning up and clearing out neglected areas in our life, things that might feel a little bit more mundane and yet they require tending. There is a preparation of planting seeds, planting intentions, starting to prepare things. And then this idea as well of tightening up, straightening up, pulling out, weeding, decluttering. So all of those energies right now mark this coming week. It's not a week about big dramatic action or big dramatic energy. It's a week that's about tending to what's already growing and supporting it in a steady, intentional way. And this message was music to my heart because it really feeds into my personal vision of my little garden and keeping it manageable. I should say, my faux fairy garden area and what I'm hoping to create. And this whole message is really a reminder that something doesn't have to be big or splashy or amazing for it to be meaningful and purposeful and to serve our path. And so the energy this week is really a workhorse kind of energy. It's not flashy, it's not dramatic, it's not super neon lights glimmering and shimmering everywhere, but it doesn't mean that it's not deeply meaningful. So right now, there's an important reminder that not all growth comes from big visible movement. Sometimes the smallest steps are the ones that matter most. And that is what we are called to this week. So if the energy for you this week feels like you're organizing, clearing, tending to something you've been putting off, taking care of details, you're not off track, you are actively preparing for growth. And through those small tasks, you are growing and you are investing in your growth and investing in your future growth. And what's interesting about the energy this week is that it aligns really beautifully with the astrology because we are moving into this very strong Aries activation energy. We are in full swing Aries season. And this week in particular, Mars, which is the planet of action and drive and movement, is moving into Aries. It moves in, I believe, on the 9th. And so Aries is the sign that naturally rules Mars. So a lot of time that transit can come with a lot of activity, sometimes impulsivity, sometimes a sense of inspiration and creative fire and newfound movement and newfound momentum. And then we also have Mercury moving into Aries, and that's happening on right around, I think, the evening of the 14th into the 15th. And that is going to help us with clear and direct communication, quicker thinking, a stronger sense of knowing what to do and say, and having more clarity around that. So you might notice for yourself this week that you feel more momentum and you feel a desire to take action. Some of those things that you've been putting off might come a little bit more easily because you might feel more creativity and inspiration and mojo to get them done. You might find that you have insights coming through, that you're seeing a bigger picture or just feeling more clear on some things. And you might feel that pull towards forward momentum. But here's the nuance this week when we bring this together and integrate it with the Akashic message. It doesn't feel like this is a week of rushing ahead and just running into all of it. It feels like it's a week about intentional action. And so going back to that garden metaphor again in my very intentional tiny little patch of my future fairy garden. This is a week of preparing the soil, thinking about what's realistic for you, what is obtainable right now, what feels like a grounded action step for you. And what do you need to do to create the conditions for something to grow in a way that works for you? So there's a practicality to the energy this week mixed in with an inspiration. And I love that blend because it feels really grounded to me. And it feels like energy that we can make the most of by taking grounded action steps. So this week we have a blending of movement and preparation. And you might find a little bit of both. You might find yourself doing more prep work and behind the scenes on something. You might find where something comes together, and all of a sudden you feel like you're able to take a big stride or make some sort of measurable progress. So a question you might reflect on this week is what am I tending right now that is preparing me for what is to come? And then also asking yourself, am I trying to rush into growth or am I willing to support it? And that's really where the invitation to work with this juxtaposition of energy this week is. It's taking intentional steps towards growth and looking at things that will support growth as opposed to running into something or feeling like we have to do everything at once, feeling like we have to have it all figured out at once. This really is a week where we get big gains through small, measurable steps, and we're really asked to not minimize those small steps. So I have an Oracle card to share this week from my very own deck. And um, I love saying that. I don't think it's going to get old. I spent so many years on the podcast pulling cards from somebody else's deck, which beautiful decks, ones that I love. But it's really, really fun to get to choose something from my own to share with everyone, which by the way is still a work in progress. And as I'm sharing this message with everybody and this idea of small steps adding up, I can tell you that one of my personal reflections will be what are my next steps as I continue to tend to and grow and develop this deck. But back to our card of the week. Our card is choice point. And the key words that come with the card choice point are decision, direction, and self-leadership. The essence of this card is you are standing at a moment of decision. Trust your ability to choose your path forward. And the message of this card is there are moments when life asks you to pause, and there are moments when life asks you to choose. This is one of those moments. Not every choice will come with perfect clarity, not every path will feel fully mapped out, but something within you already knows, not in a loud or forceful way, but in a steady, grounded sense of direction. You don't need to rush, but you also don't need to stay where you are. You are allowed to move forward, even if the path is still unfolding. And our invitation from the card is that it invites us to reconnect with our inner authority and to ask yourself what feels true for me right now. Where are you being called to step without necessarily thinking about what feels safest or what's expected of you, but what feels most aligned. And this card feels so aligned with this week's energy because even as we're tending and pruning and preparing, we might find ourselves at a choice point or feeling like we're at a crossroads or being called to step into a new cycle, to step into a new path, to continue to build on something new that we are being called into in our life. And not in a way that we're rushing in or we need to see the full picture or the full path, but in a grounded one where we take that one small measurable step and move ourselves forward, however, it is that resonates with us for our individual lives at this time. So looking at this and tapping into our mental health toolbox from a psychological perspective, this week really brings a grounded activation energy. And I would say it's woven with this task-oriented focused. So it's not about chaotic urgency, but more about structured movement. And again, this isn't about knowing the whole plan. It's about having a reasonable next action step, whatever that looks like for you. And one of the ways that we can work with that is by breaking bigger goals down or bigger visions down into smaller steps. I think a lot of times when it feels like everything needs our attention, or we have something that we're working on, or we feel inspired to act on it, we can feel really overwhelmed and try and do too much at once, or do a little bit here and then a little bit over here, and then we're not really effective. We're not really harnessing our focus. So instead of thinking I need to do everything, or I need to get this done as quickly as possible, just try asking yourself, what is one thing I can tend to today? I also think it's really important this week to normalize maintenance work and to see the kind of mundane steps that we take as something that is still sacred and intention-filled and meaningful. Going back to that idea that the energy this week isn't necessarily big and flashy, things like organization, clearing stuff out, tending to details, but that's the foundational work that helps us prepare to make progress. That's the stuff that we build. So we have a place to push off of and to launch ourselves and to keep moving things forward. In my own personal work, I actually find it really helpful in my journal to write down what progress have I made on the path this week. Sometimes I might actually pull an oracle card or something on that as a contemplation tool to help me tap into ideas on what progress I've made. Sometimes I might just make a list of all the tiny little different things that I did, things that I cleared, things that I might have addressed, things that I'm still sifting through. It helps me to see those teeny tiny things and recognize that work, that inner work, the work I'm doing in my life, even if it's something small, it's sacred, it's meaningful, it's intention-filled, and it is moving things forward. Something else we can do this week is to keep a perspective of clarity versus urgency and to check in with ourselves and ask, is this coming from a clear and grounded place? Or is this coming from a sense of stress and false urgency? And asking, are you tending to something and preparing for something? Or are you rushing into something? And one of the ways that you can do this when you check in with yourself is just check in with how it feels in your body. Do you feel grounded in your body, or do you feel stressed out and like you have anxiety and you can feel that in your chest or in your stomach or in some other way? And anytime that you might feel that way, in order to come back to a space of grounding, just take a few moments to breathe. I really like to just put my hand on my heart and take a few deep breaths. You can even plant your feet or take a moment and imagine that you're connecting to the earth and connecting to the soil. A lot of times when I'm doing guided meditation work, I'm very prone to saying something like, imagine the earth that's upholding you right now. Take a moment and acknowledge the earth that literally is supporting us and keeping us upright and keeping us grounded. And so bringing ourselves back to the soil. Metaphorically, literally, you can go outside and press your hands down against the soil if you need to to ground and to discharge some of the urgency or stress you might be carrying. All of those are ways to bring it back into your heart and bring it back into your center and bring it back into a grounded space. And then from that space, you can ask yourself, okay, now what am I being called to do? What is my next right step now that I feel I'm in my center again? So this week supports agency, taking action from an empowered and grounded place, doing it through structure, through small intentional steps, and doing all of that while we stay connected to ourselves and stay connected to our center. It was very easy to come up with a creative prompt for this week. We have the wonderful garden imagery that the Akashic Records have given us. So for our creative prompt this week, let's work with the idea of being a garden and thinking about the garden within. I actually love this as a possible sketch and a journal. Or if you're really artistic and actually want to draw or paint this out, what does your inner garden look like? But I'm imagining in my journal that I might do some mapping out of an inner garden. I actually like to have fun with these kinds of prompts and I will label things and like give everything in my inner map, my inner world names that is a reflection of something I've been feeling or experiencing. But this could also be something that you just write out or make a list or even just contemplate and think about and really reflect on your inner garden. What feels overgrown or neglected? Where are the weeds right now? When I'm talking about my literal fairy garden, I do have some wonderful potted plants around that have somehow survived despite my neglect. And I don't know if they're thriving, but they are doing really well in the Kauai sunshine and rain. And one of the things that's neglected in them is they really need some pruning. Like when I want to make my magic fairy garden, one of the steps to doing that will be just to get out there and pull the weeds from some of the plants and give them more space to breathe and be free and to grow things. So using that as a metaphor of where are the weeds in your life? What's in your inner world that feels neglected, feels overgrown, that you need to look at and tend to? What's ready to be cleared? What might you be ready to either let go of or just to take a step towards taking better care of it or giving it more TLC and time and attention? And then what's a small action that would help something grow? If you were to write that out in your journal, you might just write, right now I am tending to and do a self-reflection. I am preparing for. You could also say, I am releasing, because part of preparation can be release work, it can be letting go, it can be clearing out. And then growth is happening in my life through and reflect on where the growth is, reflect on where the call to greater growth is coming through for you. So bringing all of this together, the energy this week might not be the biggest, flashiest energy. It might just be something that we're called to small practical steps. And remember that just because something is small doesn't mean it's not sacred. It doesn't mean it's not meaningful. And it doesn't mean that there's not mad, spiritual, amazing, beautiful heart purpose in it. Thank you so much for joining me on the podcast today. I will be back next week with a new Your Heart Magic. In the meantime, have a beautiful week, and as always, be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
