Welcome And Weekly Energy Theme
SPEAKER_01Aloha, and welcome to Your Heart Magic, an illuminating space where psychology, spirituality, and heart wisdom meet. Here's your host, Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, author, psychologist, and spiritual educator.
SPEAKER_00Aloha everybody, welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, and we have our weekly Akashic Energy update that also ties in a little bit of the astrology with the upcoming new moon, some psychological perspective journaling prompts, and our oracle card to guide us this week. So let's dive in.
Envisioning Better Outcomes Over Worry
SPEAKER_00And as I was preparing the message today, I always open with some kind of personal share. And I was thinking about how something I'm working on right now is envisioning the outcome that I'd like to see in situations in my life that might feel challenging or difficult or a little bit sticky. And sticky is often a word that I use, sticky or muddy, for things that might feel a little bit unclear or uneasy, a little bit of a challenge, or like there might be obstacles in our path, things that can be a little bit tricky. And I think our tendency often is to worry about those things or to focus on the kind of outcome that we don't want. Isn't that what worrying is about? We usually think about either the worst-case scenario or have a thought process that might say something like, oh no, I sure hope blank doesn't happen. And we kind of envision this scenario. And when I find myself tapping into those kinds of thoughts, it is much better for me to do a refocus and think about what I would like to create instead. And my personal belief around this is first of all, always envision as big as you want to go with whatever feels good to you. You do you. I will be over here doing me. I mean, that's all we can do on our journey is tap into what's authentic for each of us. But for myself, it's a little bit easier if I envision an outcome that feels somewhat obtainable. So if I'm worried something won't work out, I might imagine telling a friend, whoo, I'm so glad that's over. It all worked out, and I can't believe it all came together, but it did, and that feels so good. That kind of outcome feels achievable to me, even if I don't know the exact steps. Or if I'm facing something really big or scary in the road, and I know there's nothing I can do to keep it from happening. Sometimes life is going to have its way. There's certain things that are going to happen as we grow. And so sometimes if I know an inevitable is going to happen, I might imagine myself being really supported through it or telling somebody how incredibly supported I felt through a challenge and how I really felt like spirit was there, that people showed up for me, that I found untapped strength, their resilience. So I try and make it something manageable and achievable, and something that I'm able to envision and then feel in my energy. How does it feel when I think about this outcome? And that quick redirection of attention doesn't often take a lot of time. It's not something that I sit down and do a 30-minute manifestation around. It's something that can happen in 10 to 60 seconds in my own thought process based on where I'm at in my day. And one of the things that I find really interesting about attention, about our lives, about our focus is that it does shape our experience. And when we do these practices, it's not because we magically control every circumstance, but there is some truth that where we place our focus often determines what is going to grow. It is the difference between waking up each morning and saying, it is going to be a great day today. And even if the day doesn't feel so great, just keep reminding yourself that's okay. This is just life doing its life thing. I am still having a great day. That helps us pay attention to things that might be actually great that are showing up in our atmosphere. And so those kinds of envisionings and focal points help support what we notice, what we reinforce, what we might nurture in our day-to-day, and what we unintentionally feed.
Akashic Question What Gets Your Attention
SPEAKER_00And that's exactly what the Akashic Records are talking about this week because when I tapped into the message for the week, they kept returning to this very simple and powerful question: What are you paying attention to? And more so, is that where you want your energy to go? So as we continue moving through June's larger theme of empowerment and trusting the direction we're headed, which is what the Akashic said for the overarching theme for this month, this week's energy becomes very focused within that bigger scope. It's more intentional and it's conscious. And the records repeatedly showed an image of fixing our gaze on a distant point and continuing to walk towards it. We're not rushing or forcing or trying to make it happen. We're simply choosing to focus our attention on that point and keep returning to it again and again. So the guidance this week isn't just about gratitude or positive thinking, but it's an invitation to become aware of what is influencing you. What are you consuming right now? What are you rehearsing in your mind? What conversations are you giving your attention to? What fears are you feeding? And what possibilities are you nurturing? Because attention is creative, it's powerful, and it helps shape our experience. And I always say that I make these podcasts because I need the guidance as much as I think other people do. I don't do it sitting here practicing these things perfectly and feeling like I have it down. I love creating these because I want this guidance, I want this support. So when these messages come through, I am sharing them with you and thinking about how I'm going to apply them to my own life and choosing to take the time to share the wisdom of the akashic. It's one of the ways that I make myself tune in and pay attention to that spiritual perspective. It's one of the ways that I'm actively working with this message right now. Where does my attention go? Is it worth my time? And I say yes to all of those when it comes to all matters akashic and talking spirituality with people. So the records described this week is a time when our mental focus feels especially supported. There's going to be an increased capacity available for visualization, intention, mental clarity, envisioning possibilities, conscious creation, focused awareness. There's also a feeling of enhanced perception this week, and this might show up as a stronger sense of intuition for some. It might show up as seeing more synchronicities, a stronger ability to see patterns or to see how seemingly extraneous things in your life might interconnect and might be working together somehow. It could be a clearer sense of inner knowing, meaningful concurrences that are happening. You might feel like your mind's eye feels extra strong, that inner vision, that inner knowing. So the records did refer to this as an activation of the third eye vision, not only in the intuitive sense, but in the practical sense of being able to consciously envision the future you're moving toward.
Third Eye Vision And Observer Mind
SPEAKER_00And something else that has been showing up this week from the Akashic is the idea of really being aware of your observer mind and looking at areas in your life where you can become the observer of your own process, your own reactions, your own feelings, notice where your thoughts go, notice what's capturing your attention, notice where you're repeatedly spending your energy. And when you start to realize that your mind has wandered somewhere you don't actually want to go, then gently redirect it. And you don't have to force it back, you don't have to judge yourself if you find yourself going down those mental rabbit holes. It's more about developing more awareness and staying in your awareness so that when you begin to notice yourself thinking about or rehearsing old stories you don't necessarily want, that you can bring yourself back to your center, like a meditation practice. It's an act of returning, an act of strengthening mental focus, an act of reminding yourself that's the old story or the old pattern. This is the new story that I'm writing or tapping into. And just thinking about all of this, that though we can't always control what thoughts arise, which is true, I often feel like our brain can be a little bit like popcorn, and these thoughts just kind of pop out or bubble up, but we don't have to attach to them. We can always choose to just let something pass on through or observe it as a random thought or mental chatter or kind of white noise in the head, and then choose what thoughts we want to continue to follow through
Gemini New Moon Intentions
SPEAKER_00on. So the energy this week is beautifully supported by the Gemini new moon. New moons are always a time of a reset point, a refresh, a renewal, a moment where we get to plant intentions for what we want to grow moving forwards. And one of the things that I think is beautiful about any new moon is that we're not under the light of the moon. The moon disappears into the darkness. And it's this powerful reminder that we can't see very far ahead. And yet we can know and trust that the cycle continues and the moon continues, life continues, growth continues. So I feel like new moons are this really powerful time to connect with our intuitive knowing and remember that learning to trust ourselves when we can't see the entire path is a huge part of what the spiritual path is about. Because that's often how transformation works. We're given the next step, not the entire roadmap. So this Gemini new moon asks us to consider what thoughts do you want to cultivate? What ideas deserve your energy? What stories are you ready to stop repeating? And what possibilities are you ready to entertain? Gemini is a sign of curiosity, communication, learning, exploration. It reminds us that we don't need to know everything. We only have to stay curious in order to keep moving forward. So this new moon feels very supportive for journaling, writing intentions, brainstorming, vision boards, learning something new, changing thought patterns, opening to new possibilities. I love the idea if you're working on any of those things to write the story that you want to create in your life. I feel like that's a very powerful journaling practice right now. And anything having to do with thoughts, intellect, change, curiosity, the mind, that air energy is supported by this new moon. Gemini is a mutable sign, so it reminds us that flexibility is a strength. We don't need rigid certainty. We just need to be open and curious and have a willingness to continue to evolve.
Oracle Card Intention And Envision
SPEAKER_00The oracle card that I chose for this week is intention and envision. And key words associated with this card are vision, intention, focus, possibility, clarity, and conscious creation. The essence of the card is your attention is powerful. Where you direct your focus, energy begins to gather. This card invites you to consciously choose what you are cultivating. And the message from the card says, There are many things competing for your attention right now. Not all of them deserve it. You are being invited to become more intentional about what you allow into your mind, hard and energetic space. What future are you envisioning? What possibilities are you nurturing? What dreams deserve your attention? Focus on what you want to grow. Focus on what aligns with your values. Focus on what expands your life, and trust that what you consistently nurture will begin to take root. This card feels like the embodiment of this week's message. The records are asking us, what are you paying attention to? And this card of envision and intention is asking, What do you want to create? So this idea of paying attention and attention is an act of creation and an investment in a future creation becomes a very powerful invitation towards intentional living this week.
Mindfulness Redirecting Rumination
SPEAKER_00Psychologically, this week's energy supports mindfulness, intentional attention and mental flexibility. So we want to practice attentional awareness and throughout the day, just bring your focus back to yourself from time to time and ask yourself, what am I focusing on right now? Is this helpful? Is this aligned with my values? Does this deserve my energy? Awareness is often the first step towards change. And I've often found that the practice of just checking in with what you're feeling, noticing where your mood is, and then asking yourself, what am I paying attention to right now? What thoughts am I rehearsing? What stories might be going on? And taking it a step forward to figure out what might be either feeding or I guess eating at you right now. And then doing the redirection can be a really powerful practice if we start to feel like we're getting off track to bring us back into our core and center. So when we might notice that we're spiraling or catastrophizing, ruminating, replaying old stories, we want to gently redirect our attention. And it's not because our feelings are invalid or our moods or sensations are invalid. It's because attention is a resource and we deserve to invest it wisely and to think about our attention as an investment and something that is precious and something that we can do a lot with when it's cared for and we make conscious choices around it. We also want to work on strengthening the observer mind this week. And when I think about the observer mind, I like to either use the metaphor of clouds or water to imagine my thoughts. Clouds might be seeing my thoughts as a cloud kind of passing on by me and watching it slowly change shape and observing what thoughts might be in there. Is the cloud really full of a lot of ideas? Is it kind of vacuous and empty and brain foggy? But taking it outside of myself or imagining that you're sitting beside a river and that your thoughts are passing by like leaves floating downstream or something like that. And you can just watch it. You don't need to grab every leaf, you don't need to chase every thought, you don't need to attach to all of it. You can just be an observer and notice and choose which ones are going to deserve your further attention. So that last idea of practicing the observer's mind is actually a beautiful creative reflection for this week. And if you want to work with that artistically or take time to visualize that and to take it a little bit further in your own creativity practice, it is something you could draw in an art journal or sketch out in your own journal and actually take the time to make a cloud and put what thoughts are in it right now and just kind of see uh what's filling it and what's worth my time and what am I directing my energy on? And if you want to rework that and come up with a statement that you'd rather refocus on, that's a beautiful way to do it and write that out instead.
Journaling Prompts And Weekly Takeaways
SPEAKER_00And then some really basic journaling prompts for your own self-work might be what am I paying attention to that no longer deserves my energy? What thoughts, ideas, or dreams feel worthy of greater focus? What would I like to cultivate over the next lunar cycle? What possibilities am I ready to envision more clearly? If my attention is creative energy, how do I want to use it? That's probably my favorite. I think my takeaway this week, outside of the idea of where my attention goes, is when I'm going to grow. I've heard some of those ideas before. So it feels like positive reinforcement. But the idea this week from the Akashic that our attention is creativity. It's an investment, it's this creative investment in ourselves. It's a way that we create. That feels really powerful to me. So that's something I personally want to sit with a little bit more. Overall, this week's energy reminds us that attention matters, focus matters, awareness matters, not because we control everything, but because what we consistently nurture tends to grow. And the Gemini New Moon is coming this week to offer us a beautiful opportunity to refresh and to begin again and to reset our focus and continue to become more intentional about what we are cultivating in our mind and our hearts and our lives. And something that we have been working with a lot on this podcast is reminding ourselves that when it comes to accessing our deeper wisdom and just walking the path and staying in our hearts, we do not need to see the entire path. We just need to continue to keep trusting the direction that we're going and trusting our heart wisdom and trusting our spiritual connection, trusting our own cleverness and resilience and creativity and resources to help us figure out what's my next right step and continuing to return our attention to what matters and nurture what we want to grow. Thank
